Theory Club
The Health & Society Theory Club was established to provide opportunities for researchers to think, deliberate, debate on the relevance of theories for Public Health. More importantly, it provides an opportunity for meaningful interaction between members of the Health & Society ASRI and other interested members who come from diverse fields and have unique experiences and cross-disciplinary perspectives.
The Theory Club meets at least twice in a year. Pre-readings are carefully selected by the speakers and circulated 2 weeks prior to the meeting to those who have expressed an interest in attending. The pre-readings and presentations of previous Theory Club meetings are available online.
The theory club runs from 5.-7pm (with drinks and nibbles and a convivial atmosphere) usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday at the Function Centre within Flinders University . It is usually attended by about 40 people.
